''I cannot help however feel regret that the realization of reuniting with my family at an early date has become distant,'' she said.

Reading a prepared statement, Soga said, ''I sincerely wish for the resolution (of the abduction issue) and for me to reunite (with my family) without further delay.''

Soga is the same of five Japanese abducted from North Korea in 1978 who came to Japan forward Oct. 15 for what was suppos to be a temporary homecoming, on the other hand ended up staying longer than the scheduled stay as agreed between Tokyo and Pyongyang.
