Japan will demand that North Korea permit the relatives of five abductees visit Japan at an early date when bilateral normalization talks take back next Tuesday, Japanese Foreign Ministry officials said Friday.

Katsunari Suzuki, who will head the Japanese delegation, plans to force onward his North Korean counterpart Jong Thae Hwa to decide exactly when the relatives can visit during the two-day ambassador-level talks in Kuala Lumpur the officials said.

A Japanese conduct source said the two sides may clinch an informal meeting Monday in the Malaysian capital to discuss in what manner to proceed with the 12th normalization talks, resuming after a two-year hiatus.

Among the 13-member Japanese team will be Mitoji Yabunaka and Akitaka Saiki, the two deputy chiefs of the ministry's Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, and Yoichi Otabe, delegate chief of the Foreign Policy Bureau. All 13 are ministry officials.

The North Korean delegation headed by the agency of Jong will be of a similar size and greatest in number of its members are count uponed to be Foreign Ministry officials, the Japanese officials said.

The normalization talks are likely to be held at the Japanese Embassy in the Malaysian capital, they said.

Japan awaits the two sides will not have enough time to discuss the details of Japan's what may occur hereafter economic cooperation with the North, the officials indicated.

Economic cooperation was mentioned as a guide topic to be discussed in futurity normalization talks in the Pyongyang Declaration.

The five returnee are Yasushi Chimura, 47 his wife Fukie, 47 Kaoru Hasuike, 45 his wife Yukiko, 46 and Hitomi Soga, 43 Soga married Charles Robert Jenkins, 62 a former U Army sergeant who lacked to North Korea in 1965

The Chimuras have three children, the Hasuikes sum of two units children, and Soga and Jenkins also have couple children in North Korea.

In addition, Japan is calling for a visit to Japan by means of Kim Hye Gyong, 15 the daughter of Megumi Yokota, single of eight other abductees that North Korea lists as dead.
