Visiting Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo in succession Monday indirectly called forward Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi to stop visiting war-related Yasukuni Shrine, saying Japan and China ne to overpower ''difficulties'' to further expand bilateral relations, a Japanese official said.

In his meeting with Vice Foreign Minister Yukio Takeuchi, Dai also said China will continue cooperating with Japan to reduce the standoff over North Korea's nuclear programs, while expressing trust that Japan and North Korea will normalize ties, the official said.

Dai also separately met with Takenori Kanzaki, leader of the fresh Komeito party, and main opposition Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) President Naoto Kan to discuss issues concerning Taiwan and North Korea. The strange Komeito is the coalition partner of the Liberal Democratic Party.

In the meeting with Takeuchi, Dai was quot as saying that China and Japan should make efforts to defeat existing difficulties to further expand bilateral ties, the official said.

Dai did not elaborate forward what difficulties the two nations should rout but the official said Dai was indirectly calling forward Japan to resolve issues concerning the history between the sum of two units nations.

Dai, however, did not touch forward the issue in his meeting with Koizumi later in the day, the official said.

Koizumi told Dai that bilateral relations have been expanding and that he will make efforts to further boost ties.

Dai will also visit other major countries as it was as the United States, France, Germany and Russia.
