Last week, Yudhoyono mentioned Hambali, along with three other Indonesians -- Abu Bakar Bashir, Imam Samudra and the late Abdullah Sungkar -- as Indonesian leaders of the Malaysia-based Jemaah Islamiyah.

''Hambali is generally the most wanted person in Indonesia,'' National Police spokesman Brig. Gen Saleh Saaf told a pres colloquy ''We have been looking for him since 2000 for his alleged involvement in a series of bombings in Jakarta.''
