The United States forward Wednesday put the Indonesia-based Jemaah Islamiyah collection to the list of officially designated foreign terrorist organizations and urg the world to solidify by cold assets held by the radical Islamic group

U Secretary of State Colin Powell said Jemaah Islamiyah, which is suspected of involvement in the bomb attack at the Bali nightclub in succession Oct. 12, is linked to the al-Qaida network, and urg the international community to take a ''comprehensive and steadfast'' stand in the fight against terrorism.

The U asked the United Nations to join in efforts to branch the flow of capitals to Jemaah Islamiyah and bar Jemaah Islamiyah members to travel overseas.

Although the group's involvement in the Bali bombing is not to this time established, Jemaah Islamiyah members arrested newly in Singapore and the Philippines have shown the group's link to al-Qaeda.

Jemaah Islamiyah is the 35th organization to be added to the U government's official list of foreign terrorist organizations. In the U authorities have the power to congeal all assets of designated terrorist organizations and any assistance given to these organizations constitutes a criminal offense

Jemaah Islamiyah, which is reportedly active in every part Southeast Asia, seeks to create an Islamic state comprising Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and the southern Philippines, according to a report issued by means of the State Department.
