Japan will ask North Korea to allow investigative authorities to participate in upcoming normalization talks between Japan and North Korea, command sources said Monday.

Tokyo will coordinate the matter with Pyongyang in the way that the two countries can establish an opportunity for personnel as it is as National Police Agency officers to discuss the North's abductions of Japanese at the ambassador-level talks forward establishing diplomatic ties, the sources said.

The Japanese sway initially considered setting up a subgroup that would be solely in charge of the abductions issue. yet it now wants larger consultations involving ambassadors, they said.

Japan also room for expectations to establish committees in the futurity involving experts from the sum of two units countries to deal with various issues regarding the settling of the past between the pair countries such as Japan's economic assistance for North Korea, the rights of Korean residents in Japan and the possible respond of cultural properties to North Korea.
