Doha's preparations to armed force the 2006 Asian Games are upon track and the capital of Qatar is ready to stage the continent's largest athletic extravaganza -- if it were not that not just now.

Abdulla A. R Buhmaid, director general of the Doha Asian Games Organizing Committee (DAGOC), dismissed charges made according to the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) last week that Doha is behind schedule in its preparations and marketing plans for the games.

The OCA board of directors will adapted in Kuwait in January to discuss Doha's preparations and determine if the city will be allowed to become the first West Asian city to entertainer the Asian Games since the 1974 Tehran games.
