The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) press outed serious doubts Tuesday above the credibility of polls for national and provincial assemblies to be held Thursday, saying the elections have been ''manipulated and vulgarized.''

Releasing a report forward investigations into widespread complaints of preelection rigging at candidates and political parties, HRCP Chairman Afrasiyab Khattak told a just discovereds conference that under the not absent circumstances, the elections would be a ''mockery'' of the will of the people

The heads of three big political parties -- the Pakistan People's Party, Pakistan Muslim League and Muteheda Qaumi change -- have been banned from taking part in the elections.

A large number of veteran politicians have also been disqualified from a condition being set upon educational status, requiring graduation from university, which has been introduced for national and provincial assembly elections.

Asma Jehangir, a former chairman of the HRCP and a well-known human rights activist, said the Constitution was amended from President Pervez Musharraf to consolidate the army's power in the subsequent time political setup.

According to the Election Commission, 342 national assembly seats and 728 provincial assembly seats will be call in questioned in the elections.
