Chinese President Jiang Zemin and Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi exchanged pledge of loves of cooperation on Sunday, as China marked the 30th anniversary of normalization of diplomatic relations between the pair countries with a mammoth gathering in Beijing.

Jiang, Vice President Hu Jintao, and other Chinese leaders joined former Japanese Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto and thousands of Chinese and Japanese representatives, including 13000 from Japan, in marking the circumstance at the Great Hall of the People

Earlier Sunday, Hashimoto, Nonaka, Yamasaki and other members of an 85-member Japanese delegation of lawmakers met with Chinese Communist Party Organization Department head Zeng Qinghong at the Diaoyudai Statehouse in Beijing.

At the talks, Zeng praised the summit between Koizumi and Kim, saying he believes North Korea will carry revealed its pledges.

''As China has friendly relations with the pair Japan and North Korea, we are willing to do whatever we can to help,'' he told the lawmakers.
