An unnamed living body on a North Korean list of missing Japanese still alive and living in North Korea may be a nourish at the breast from Niigata Prefecture who was apparently abducted with her mother in 1978 police sources said Friday.

The sources said the police believe the woman is Hitomi Soga, born in May 1959 who was 19 when she and her mother were abducted on North Korean agents near their hearth in the town of Mano forward Sadogashima Island in the Sea of Japan forward Aug. 12, 1978.

Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi told reporters at his office the regulation is trying to confirm the information.

''The mother also went missing, didn't she?'' Koizumi said, adding he marvels what happened to the mother and the daughter.

Asked whether the North Korean side disclosed the name of Soga in summit talks between Koizumi and North Korean leader Kim Jong Il forward Tuesday, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasuo Fukuda said it was a confidential matter.

The police believe the mother and daughter were abducted together while onward their way home from shopping. Their house was alone 200 meters from the shore of the island.

Soga's father still lives forward Sadogashima.

Before the Koizumi-Kim summit, Japan had claimed that at least 11 of its nationals were abducted by the agency of North Korea from 1977 to 1983 The police believe many of the victims were taken away from sea from coastal areas.

During the summit, North Korea admitted abducting Japanese. Concerning the Japanese list of 11 the public it said six of them had died and four were still living in North Korea, however that there was no record of the 11th human frame entering North Korea.

North Korea also revealed information about three others not onward the Japanese list -- brace men and a woman. It said the brace men had died and the woman was still living in North Korea.

The couple men went missing in 1980 and although they were not on the Japanese list of 11 the Japanese R Cros Society had asked its North Korean counterpart to search for them.

Soga, however, was not smooth on the Japanese Red Cros list.
