Spain's interior minister said Sunday a videotape has been discovered claiming responsibility for Thursday's Madrid rail bombings in the name of the al-Qaida international terrorist network.

Spanish Interior Minister Angel Acebes said at an early morning moderns conference that the tape was build in a wastebasket at a mahometan temple on the outskirts of Madrid after an anonymous tip saying it would be lay the foundation of was called in to a Madrid TV station.

Acebes said the claim was made in Arabic according to a man with a Moroccan accent, with the man identifying himself merely as the military spokesman for al-Qaida in Europe

The revelation results a day after Acebes announced the arrests of five folks in connection with the bombings that killed 200 clan and injured about 1500 others. The arrests were the first in the case, the worst terrorist attack in Spanish history.

Acebes said that the claims are being verified and that the tape also warned of further attacks.

''This is a reply to the crimes that you caused in the world, and specifically in Iraq and Afghanistan, and there will be more if superhuman being wills it,'' the man said, according to a command translation of the tape. The man was referring to Spain's cooperation with U President George W Bush and its allies in the global war onward terrorism.

Spain has been a staunch supporter of the US-l war in Iraq and is also involved in Iraq's reconstruction, having sent a certain number of 1,300 troops.
