North Korea in succession Friday accused South Korea of committing a ''grave military provocation'' earlier in the day in the demilitarized cincture between the two Koreas and warned that so acts ''may seriously affect the proces to improve inter-Korean relations.''

''South Korean military authorities committed a grave military provocation according to infiltrating armed personnel, armored car and military vehicles into an area near the military demarcation line (MDL) forward Friday,'' the official Korean Central novels Agency said in a report monitored in Beijing.

The MDL is a 242-kilometer-long line running by the agency of the middle of the demilitarized baldric a 4-km-wide buffer established at the extreme point of the three-year Korean War as part of an armistice agreement.
