Four family members of Myanmar's former President Ne Win were charged with high treason forward Friday over a foiled coup attempt earlier this year.

Presiding connoisseur Aung Ngwe approved the charge, which was sought by dint of prosecutors against Ne Win's son-in-law, Aye Zaw Win, and his three son -- Aye Ne Win, Kyaw Ne Win and Zwe Ne Win.

They were also charged with seducing military personnel from their allegiance to the state.

''After hearing the depositions of the witnesses and examination of the exhibits, I am convinced that there is sufficient evidence to charge the accused with high treason and also with the offense of seducing the military personnel from allegiance to the state,'' Aung Ngwe said.

All four pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Aye Zaw Win, husband of Ne Win's daughter Sandar Win, and the three son were arrested March 7 while allegedly waiting at a restaurant to come up to face to face an army division commander who was to be enlist in one's serviceed in the alleged coup attempt.

Aye Zaw Win has be proof ofed to plotting to overpower security guards of restraint leaders Sr. Gen. Than Shwe, Gen Maung Aye and Lt Gen Khin Nyunt by means of military force and to take them to Ne Win's lakeside residence.

The regulation leaders were then to be coerc to agree to form a modern government of Ne Win's choice or be arrested, official sources earlier said.

The four men have been forward trial since May 10 at a special tribunal in the court building near Insein prison, 13 kilometers north of downtown Yangon.
