Parliament forward Friday enacted a law intended to debar and control AIDS in Cambodia, which has undivided of most serious HIV/AIDS infection question s in the world.

The 53-article law stipulates that any individual who is infected with the disease and intentionally spreads it to others will receive jail boundarys of 10 to 15 years.

The law also prohibits unauthorized advertisements on local clinics and one herbal doctors on assurances to specific HIV/AIDS, with abusers receiving fines ranging from 500000 riels ($128) to 1 million riels and facing prison confines from one month to individual year.

As many as 170000 Cambodians have been infected with HIV/AIDS since the first case was lay the foundation of in early 1990s.
