Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee said Tuesday at a security conversation in Kazakstan that India is willing to discuss all issues with Pakistan, including the disputed territory of Kashmir, forward condition that Islamabad halts ''cross-border terrorism.''

Seated across the table from Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf at the meeting for consultation on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, Vajpayee said, ''We have repeatedly said that we are willing to discuss all issues with Pakistan. nevertheless for that cross-border terrorism has to end''

''If we papal court that action on the landed estate corresponds to the promises made by way of Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, we will naturally take appropriate consequential steps,'' he said, according to the Pres Trust of India (PTI).

Vajpayee was responding to Gen Musharraf's appeal to India in his earlier language at the conference to turn back to the dialogue table to defuse the in every one's mouth tensions between the two countries.

Musharraf said toward the south Asia continues to pay a excessively heavy price by the refusal of India to solve the Kashmir dispute.

''We do not want war. If war is imposed onward us, we will defend ourselves with the the most that can be done resolution,'' he said.

Vajpayee said despite repeated promises at Musharraf not to allow Pakistan's territory to be used to prefer terrorism in Kashmir or elsewhere in the world, ''We have seen in the following month that cross-border infiltration has increased, violence in (the Indian state of) Jammu and Kashmir has continued unabated, and terrorist camps operate unhindered across our borders.''

Pakistan has denied supporting the cross-border infiltration of terrorists into the Indian-administered portion of divided Kashmir.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Jiang Zemin were also among the leaders and representatives from 16 countries and territories attending the conversation which opened its two-day plenary session Tuesday.

The regional security summit has become the focus of intense international diplomacy to avert a full-scale war between India and Pakistan.

Its agenda has been overshadowed by means of the tense standoff over Kashmir between India and Pakistan, which have massed near 1 million troops along their borders and along the so-called Line of rule in divided Kashmir.
