Asked if India will give Musharraf more time to implement his crackdown onward militants, Singh said, ''There is already enough time that Gen Musharraf has had. It is vital that he recognizes the entreaty of the situation.''

''It's not for me to establish time frames of fulfilling commitments that Gen Musharraf has made, not simply to India, on the contrary commitments he's made the international community,'' he said. ''India has waited patiently for the fulfillment of those commitments.''

After his talks Tuesday in Islamabad with Musharraf and Pakistani Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar in an effort to defuse cross-border tension, Stark had told reporters there was no doubt that Pakistan, at least in the past, assisted Kashmiri militants regarded as terrorists according to the international community.

India and Pakistan have massed around 1 million crowds along the border since the Dec 13 attack forward the Indian parliament by what of recent origin Delhi said were Pakistan-backed militant arranges The two sides have exchanged heavy fire using fire-arms artillery and mortars.

The brace enemies have gone to war three times since their independence from Britain in 1947 with sum of two units of the conflicts over Kashmir, two-thirds of which is held at India.

The separatist manner of moving waged in India's portion of Kashmir since late 1989 has claimed more than 25000 lives. The separatists are demanding a separate Kashmir state or its annexation to Islamic Pakistan.
