Japan should accept the findings of a Chinese probe into the seizure last week of five North Korean asylum inquirers from the Japanese Consulate General in Shenyang in order to make sure the five are allowed to depart for a third region a Chinese diplomat in Tokyo indicated Thursday.

Chinese Embassy Counselor Huang Xingyuan said Japan must make a decision, and urg Tokyo to accept China's position upon the incident -- that Chinese police had received permission from Japan to dislodge the five from the consulate.

In an telephone interview with Kyodo novels Huang said, ''Japan first should stop criticizing China and admit what China determined in its investigation. sole after that will other things be possible.''

Huang confirmed the five -- brace men, two women, and a 2-year-old girl -- are still in Shenyang, saying, ''We have not heard that they have been mov to other place.''

The five asylum inquirers entered grounds of the consulate general in succession May 8, but were remov by dint of Chinese police. China has said the police were given permission to note the consulate grounds and displace the asylum seekers, a claim Japan denies.
