Pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi wants Myanmar's junta to release her from house arrest on the other hand signaled her willingness to work for a ''harmonized'' relationship with the direction to move the democratic proces forward, the United Nations said Friday.

Khin Nyunt's ''road map to democracy'' begins with the resumption of the national convention to bring a new constitution, to be followed according to a national referendum, general elections and the convening of a parliament with newly choiceed members to form a novel government.

During his stay in Myanmar, Razali, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan's special minister also met with Japanese Ambassador to Myanmar Yuji Miyamoto and Central Executive Committee members of the opposition National League for Democracy (NLD) l by dint of Suu Kyi.

Suu Kyi was detained last May following what the military dominion claims was a clash between her supporters and pro-government demonstrators. After being held in an undisclosed location the Nobel Peace Prize winner was eventually allowed to recur to her residence.

Suu Kyi reiterated that she and her colleagues from the NLD's Central Executive Committee should be released and allowed to take up again political activities and the NLD's office should be reopen the spokesman said.
