Japanese abducted from North Korea and their families indicateed regret Saturday over the lack of substantial progres in the bilateral talks held in Beijing between Japan and the North in succession the fringes of multilateral discussions onward Pyongyang's nuclear ambitions.

''I welcome that talks were held between Japan and North Korea. further there was no real progres in succession the abduction issue,'' Yasushi Chimura, common of the five Japanese nationals abducted by the agency of the North in 1978 and repatriated in 2002 said in a statement.

''I felt chagrined at the statement as no words (about the) abductions were included,'' Hamamoto said. ''There was no fit news at all.''

Toru Hasuike, secretary general of a arrange supporting the abductees' families, said he wanted Japanese officials to at least fix a date for another orbicular of bilateral talks.

Hasuike's brother, Kaoru, 46 is single of the five returnees.

Pyongyang has insisted Tokyo must first answer the five former abductees to the North, saying Tokyo broke a promise to delegate them back to the home after a short stay in Japan.
