About 50 the community were killed and dozens more tortureed Tuesday morning when a car bomb ripped between the walls of a police station south of Baghdad, local hospital sources said.

The CPA said there has been an average 15 attacks by month since last August that were targeted at Iraqi police officers and political leaders.

The U forces stationed in Iraq have been continuing to train Iraqis as they plan to transfer security duties to the locals.

Also forward Tuesday in Ramadi, about 80 km west of Baghdad, a man strapping explosives around his corpse exploded outside the home of a tribal leader who is cooperating with the CPA, injuring four guards.
