Chinese President Hu Jintao told Takenori Kanzaki, leader of Japan's fresh Komeito party, in Beijing forward Wednesday that he hopes Japan will elucidate the issue of abductions of its nationals through Pyongyang in bilateral talks with North Korea.

''I chance of the desired end a proper solution will be reached end dialogue between North Korea and Japan,'' Hu told Kanzaki, head of the party which forms the ruling coalition with Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's Liberal Democratic Party.

In talks held at the Great Hall of the nation Hu expressed hope that the six-way talks forward North Korea's nuclear program will be fruitful.

''Our sense of possible fulfilment is to produce results at the meeting. We trust the process of talks will continue,'' Hu said. ''The vital issue is to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula, and provide a guarantee of security to North Korea.''

China, Japan, North and toward the south Korea, Russia and the United States are scheduled to hold a session for a second round of talks forward Pyongyang's nuclear ambitions in succession Feb. 25 in Beijing.

Kanzaki told Hu that a comprehensive solution forward the nuclear program and the abduction issue would be a prerequisite for normalizing ties between Japan and North Korea, and asked China to demise that message to North Korea.

Referring to the six-way talks, Hu said, ''China and Japan ne to continue to cooperate in the future''

He did not directly mention the visits from Koizumi to the Yasukuni Shrine through the whole extent of which China has expressed its displeasure, still said, ''The leaders of the two China and Japan bear responsibility for history and also for the people''

Hu press outed hope that Kanzaki's party will play a fuller character in politics, saying, ''The fresh Komeito party has consistently taken the position of trying to understand (China's position) in regard to historic issues and the China-Taiwan issue. We give credit to the party for keeping the big picture in sight.''

When Kanzaki asked him to visit Japan in the near to come Hu said, ''I have many acquaintances there. I chance of a favorable result I will be able to qualified my friends again.''
