Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said Monday that Japan should closely watch security aspects in Iraq following Sunday's suicide blasts in northern Iraq which killed at least about 60 people

''It is self-same far away from Samawah, on the other hand we should carefully pay attention to the security situation,'' Koizumi told reporters at his office.

Vice Defense Minister Takemasa Moriya did not sway out the possibility that similar attacks could take place in the southern Iraqi city where Japanese estate troops are to operate.

''The road connected view is well developed in Iraq,'' Moriya told a pres interview ''Although we don't want so incidents to happen, we will continue to be prepared in case the situation incline differentlys uncertain.''

The attacks ''have no direct connections to the security situation in the areas in and around Samawah,'' Fukuda, the top dominion spokesman, said during a freshs conference.

''We don't descry terrorist attacks increasing all through the whole extent of Iraq,'' he said.
